Sims 3 Glitch: Laggy and Unresponsive during robbery

you may have a stuck sim somewhere in the world this one cause of lag , have you tried the resetsim cheat ? for your sim see if sending them for a shower will make the sim   visiable again

ctrl+shift+c hold all 3 together in the menu bar that appears at the top of the screen type in resetsim*   (hit enter ) this will reset  all sims inculdeing your own to reset one sim use the other cheat

ctrl+shift+c hold all 3 together in the menu bar that appears at the top of the screen type resetsim first name last (of your sim ) hit enter  also is your sim employed some wokoutfits can cause this issue with your sim if your sim does work go to plan outfit if the sim has more than one work outfit delete the others if the sim has one work outfit then plan an outfit form them

I had tried the resetsim cheat in the console prior to asking this question and would not work. Also, as I said, the sim will not move and the game will not play her animation for some reason. I also think this may have been caused by a more sinister issue. Because what happened does not seem isolated to the save file I used (now deleted). It seems that in every town I try, the CTRL and LEFT and RIGHT key movements on my keyboard and scrolling on the mouse are extremely laggy and slow. Also, for some reason, the towns I visit allow me to pan around the world in edit town in views that I couldn't before. I can zoom around, but for some strange reason they seem fixated on a zoom level that is not normal? I cannot figure out what the problem is. I thought it might have done with the download of CC magic that I installed, but after the issues, I immediately uninstalled the program. I honestly cant think of what it would be... I haven't downloaded any mods since it worked last. Also, does optimising the game to my NVIDIA control panel on my computer cause issues? I hadn't done it until yesterday, and I didn't have a chance to playtest it afterward. Lastly, I had reverted and tested, and optimized it and no change occurred? Does anyone have any idea whats wrong?

someone else recently had this issue too i'll see if i can find the thread and if there was a solution to it or if i cant find it i will post in the helpers corner for someone else to look as soon as they are online

Did you patch since you last played ?
