Sims 3 Glitchy Screen (MacOS Catelina)

The first time I downloaded and opened the sims 

3 game updated for the current version of MacOS Catelina, things ran smoothly. After that though each time I open it up the screen is flashing and pixelated and glitchy. Any way on how to fix this? I was so hype that it got updated and now I can’t play it again ☹️

    @bulletbuster2004  Please try playing in windowed mode.  If that doesn't help, please reduce all your in-game settings to the minimum and see whether it makes a difference.  You can raise some of them later; this is to see whether you can get to a point where the game isn't crashing.

    i have mostly tried everything now☹️ my game isn’t crashing...

    there is a bug with edge smoothing as i have already tried all settings.

    i have found a solution till a patch (hopefully comes out) i’ve tried it twice and it has worked for me but try playing in window mode!! it isn’t the best but it works until a patch comes out.. however the problem is still there☹️((
