Sim's 3 grey map glitch

Hi! I have the Sims 3 and I've been playing my game for a few days now, without any problems and all of a sudden I open my map and It's all light grey and the water looks odd as well. Its not affecting the icons and when I go out of map view my world looks foggy. I'm not sure if this is a weather thing for seasons or a glitch. If it is a glitch how may I fix it without Installing my game and not lose any of my data. I have The Sims 3, outdoor living, supernatural, university, Showtime,World Adventures, town life,70's.80's,& 90's, Pets,Master suite, generations, Seasons, And island paradise. If anyone could help please let me know. Thank you!

Try putting your game to summer only and turn off all the weather effetct to find out if it's a weather effect.

Your specs look good. Only your graphics drivers could do with an update, especially if your using windows 8.

  • What's your operating system and what's your graphics card ?

Did you update anything when it started happening ?

Could you post a picture ? To do so, change to window mode and press Print Screen to take a pic. Paste that into Paint and save it.

Then upload the picture to a third party image sharing site like imageshack and then post the link here.

  • Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for wasting your time.  It was just fog. I've never seen it on My game so I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or Weather.

But How do I update my graphics drivers?

Graphics card usually have a program you can check with. AMD should be catalyst control.

Search for check for updates on there.

Please accept a solution if this is solved for you.
