So my game crashes like right after I get into either the town or family I picked. It takes about 5-6 minutes before it freezes and says "Sims 3 has stopped working". It has been doing this for almos...

you have no hope what so ever.
trust me, i've had this problem, its a graphics problem, do you zoom out when it happens? thats what makes mine crash, it can be a matter of things, just trust me when i say your hope of fixing this is 0.
if they tranfer you to the speslist team, they are also a great help lol jokes, they tell you the same thing, update your graphics card.
i wouldnt install mod's they are likely to mess your game up futher.

No, I don't zoom out when it happens, it can happen even before and after. But it does it when I zoom in often. If my hope of fixing this is 0 I guess I just have to wait for my other computer to be fixed, I guess ):
