Sims 3 into the future crashing and closing game
Hi,
I've recently started playing The Sims 3 again on my Mac, I've got a few expansions and wanted to play Into the Future. The time portal is on my lot and I've collected the power banks etc, however when I click to time travel I get a loading screen and the map loads then it crashes and shuts down the game. I can't see any other help topics about this...
I've tried repairing my game on Origin but it doesn't seem to repair any of my expansion packs...
I can live without this and I'm not too bothered but it would be nice to know if there's a fix.

@saffyronny Repairing doesn't affect expansion packs, that's true, but it's unlikely that this is an issue with the game data. Sims 3 travel transitions are fragile and often break, although crashing is less common.
One thing worth trying is enabling object hiding. It fixes the red flashing that many of us see elsewhere in-game, and I do remember that I've seen red flashing when the future world loads, so it's possible that could help.
Otherwise, do you use mods, or are you willing to try a few? If so, I'd suggest adding NRaas Traveler, which replaces the travel transition with a more stable version, as well as ErrorTrap and Overwatch. You can find more info on them here:
