Sims 3 island paradise digital download problems

last night I got the digital download of Sims 3 island paradise from Amazon- however u have to download it from origin- so I started it last night and it was SLOW! I went to bed and this morning started it up again- it said 90% and then 5 min later ( I had to use the potty) it said 13%!!! WHAT HAPPENED!!!

I canceled that download and started over- still really slow and then I was up to 22%, then look again and back to 9%! I have no idea what happening so any advice would be helpful. I;m back up to 30% but who knows if it will continue that way! HELP!
