Sims 3 Island Paradise slowdown performance issues

Hi all, Just wanted to inform people about problems I'm having with Island Paradise. I'm running it with a high spec gaming machine [1GB AMD RADEON 6670 dedicated graphics card, 8GB of DDR2 RAM etc]...

How can I check for the latest drivers? Game recognises my graphics card so I'm fine in that regard- I will reset the sims shortly but surely that won't affect the fact it's slow to load up?
