Sims 3 Launcher Buttons Not Loading & Launcher Stops Responding

Hello, I had a spontaneous issue come up today where when I tried to launch Sims 3 from the EA app the launcher comes up looking like this (screenshot attached below). Even after waiting a while, it...

NinjaAibou707  If you can manage to use the launcher long enough to view the items in a .dbc file, you can try uninstalling any you deem suspect, but there's no way to know which these are unless you recognize one (the Arezzo counter, the doll, etc.) that has a reputation.

Items you didn't know you were getting are always suspect, as one feature of bad cc is that it can attach to uploads without the creator being aware.  So you could download content with bad cc attached that wasn't in the description.  But some creators don't list the cc they intend to include, so this isn't a perfect metric.

Aside from that, there's no real way to know, and of course this doesn't help if you can't use the launcher with the particular .dbc file present.  There's no other way to remove cc from a .dbc bundle, so you'd simply have to delete it and reinstall the content it contained.  But of course doing so could reintroduce the issue, so it would be best to install the content into a clean user folder, a little at a time, and make sure you're not getting any extra cc or anything that crashes the launcher.

Since this has become something of a project, I'd suggest reading the custom content portion of this post about best practices for mods and cc:

Doing a little extra work at the beginning of the process, or when rebuilding your content, can save you a lot of headaches down the road.
