Sims 3 Launcher keeps crashing on Mac M3 Sequoia

Hello,  I have just downloaded the EA app on my MacBook Pro, and it is the first time I am trying to launch sims3 on it. Once the launcher opens and I press the play button, the game instantaneously...

Ria-leaf  You have Windows Defender on your Mac?  Any particular reason for that?

Separately, try playing in a new admin user account.  Don't connect it to your Apple ID (you can skip that step).  Open the EA App and repair the game (Sims 3 > Manage > Repair), then try to play.  You'll likely need to be online at least the first time you open the launcher.
