Sims 3 Launcher says it encountered an error
Hi,
Well, I tried playing the Sims 3 again but now the launcher will not even open.
It just says it encountered an error and sends me back to the EA app.
I'd like to play it! It seems to be an ongoing problem. Why is that? I wish PC's still had cd rom players because I have this whole game on disks and could play without a problem then.
Anyone have a slution for me? Please?
Bailey2014_01 Please post a screenshot of the error, or write out its entire text. It's fine if the error is in a different language.
Please also let me know whether Sims 3 has ever worked on this computer, and if so, what changes you might have made to the program files, for example installing the Smooth Patch or editing the .sgr files, since the last time you were able to play.
Finally, please provide a dxdiag. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
