I have the Sims 3 and I just brought new expansion packs a few weeks and I have yet to be able to play them. The Sims 3 Launcher wont Launch my game. It says Unable to Connect to EA Download Manager and from my understanding, the Download Manager is supposed to be Origin. I dont know what to do. I downloaded the games from Origin and yet they wont work. If theyre not going to work, I need my money back. Can anyone help?
This is the exact same problem I have. I have downloaded the base game from my origin account but cannot install the EPs as it says I need to go to my Sims 3 launcher and update my game, but when I go to the launcher, it says "Unable to connect to EA Download Manager" - which is ORIGIN NOW???!! So basically cannot play the games that I have spent a small fortune on over time.
Really does seem to me that when EA release a new Sims game, everyone has trouble with the older ones, I preferred Sims 2 over Sims 3 but was unable to play it on my laptop, now I can't play Sims 3 either - absolutely ridiculous!!!!! GET IT SORTED EA as I have already seen hundreds of people having this exact same problem!!!
