Sims 3 launcher won’t install cc

So i just recently had this problem first half of my cc disappeared from my game but was still in my files and then i was reading on how to fix it and i uninstalled all the cc and now my launcher isn...

    @wastedlizzy  You can move over the whole Mods folder and test, or create a new Mods folder (with the Packages folder and resource.cfg inside) and move over the .package files in batches.  Either way, if there's a problem, remove whatever you just added to the new folder, make sure the game works again, then add half that last batch and test again.  If it's fine, add half the rest; if the game doesn't work, take out half of what you just added and test again.  This is the 50/50 method, and it's the fastest way to sort through a large number of files.

    Be sure to delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 folder each time you add or remove any content as well.  For reference, they are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

@wastedlizzy  Please move your entire Sims 3 user data folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you open the launcher, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to this folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to load a new save and play for a bit.  Let me know either way.

If you can play a new save, you can try installing some of your custom content into that new folder.  Install in batches, and test each time to make sure the game still works.  It's also a good idea to make a copy of the Sims 3 folder after each successful test—if the game stops loading, you can trash the newest Sims 3 folder and put back the last good copy instead of having to start over.

When all your custom content is installed again, you can copy over your saves and anything else you want to keep.  Let me know if you need help with this process.  For a complete list of everything in your user data folder, please see this guide:

@puzzlezaddict I did what you said to and i started a new game and i started to add the cc and it’s working with the cc i have in downloads, but what if i have cc with .package what do i do with them?
