Sims 3 Map view crashes game

so i have the sims 3 and the expansion packs Late Night, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, Island Paradise, Into the Future, and Town Life Stuff. the game runs fine but on all worlds but Bridgeport and Isla Paradiso, if you go into the town view screen the game will freeze and the task bar will say "the sims 3 has stopped working".(this also includes Sunset valley) please help!
