Sims 3: Network Error: Connection to Server has been Lost

Today I have not been able to login when in the Sims 3 game.  I receive a network error saying that my connection to the server has been lost.  My internet is working properly.  I am able to login fine on the EA site as well as the Sims 3 launcher fine.  I have also tried resetting my internet options in internet explorer as well as turning off the firewall.  Additionally I have tried to restart my computer and game several times.  I have not downloaded any custom content for several months either.  I was hoping you could figure out why I keep getting this error and how to fix it.  Thanks.

    Make sure to update Origin (there was a new version the other day) and make sure nothing is blocking the connection.

    I did update Origin, although I don't play the game through it. I am connected to my modem with an Ethernet cord, we get about 32 mbs. I was able to sign in last night, but I had to do it in game and it took about 4 tries. I had to sign out and when I tried a second time I couldn't get in again.

    OK. Great.

    I do think this is server related most of the time.

  • Mine isn't working still, I am still getting that message, and I have updated origin
