@Salmonberry-Pie Please test in a clean user folder if you haven't already. Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know whether the game still locks up in Build/Buy.
If you do see another freeze, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

- 3 years ago@puzzlezaddict I did what you said and created a new folder. It seems to be working now without any cc installed. Is there any quick way to figure out what cc is corrupted? I've been using all of this cc for awhile now without any issues and the issue just came up after reinstalling the game. I used Delphy's dashboard as I said but there aren't any other issues popping up so I am sort of at a loss. I have a lot of cc so I'm trying to avoid going through all of it piece by piece if I can help it.

@Salmonberry-Pie There's no good way to avoid testing all the custom content, but for .package files, the 50/50 method can make the process a lot more efficient:

For launcher-installed content, try Method by Mell on this page:
