Sims 3: Sims freeze in place and Network Error

Luna_Squishie​  Does this happen with your Mods folder removed?  Please also delete the five cache files in your user folder:

• CASPartCache.package
• compositorCache.package
• scriptCache.package
• simCompositorCache.package
• socialCache.package

If that doesn't help, please test a new save, for comparison's sake, in Sunset Valley.  And let me know what world you've been using for your main save.

Ignore the network error for now, as it's unlikely to be related and isn't as important.  You can play normally without signing in anywhere.

Hi thank you so much for your reply! Will after i delete those will I need to redownload those? and i really wanna play with my store stuff and a few hair ccs. I just took the download folder out and didnt delete. Is there anyway to stop the lag with my mods still? thanks again :)

Luna_Squishie​  The cache files will regenerate on their own the next time you play.  The point is to flush the old data your current versions have after you remove your mods and custom content.  As for the mods and cc, you may be able to use it going forward, but it's critical to test without it to see whether it's contributing to the issue.  And in general, when troubleshooting, the first step is to get the game stable in a new save with no extra content, and then start reintroducing anything else you want to use.

Hi so i tried it in a new save with no mods or store content or anything and it seemed to be working! the world i was using was twinbrook and i switched to sunset valley. 

Ohh ok cool! Ill try tomorrow when I wake up to see if i can reintroduce my custom content, I had downloaded alot of stuff and maybe that was the cause of it. I only really need a couple items so hopefully it'll let me download those back and not glitch out. Thanks again and ill keep you updated

Luna_Squishie​  When you add back your custom content, make sure your sims are actually wearing it.  Some bad cc has no impact at all until it's used in-game.  I'd also suggest testing a little at a time so you have a better idea of what's causing any issues you see.
