Sims 3 not working with EA app

Hi! Thank you for trying to help. Yes, it still requests Origin after i repaired it with the EA app. I installed the Sims 3 from a cd originally, but it's been updated via Origin. I also have the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection installed from Origin, which also won't start. I'll try your link for the Origin, but I'm starting to lose hope. After more than 4 hours of trying to fix it, I'm getting pretty tired of it too.

OMG! I don't know, how, but I could make Origin work, and after that, the game started without any more issues! Thank you so much!

@Henisim15  I'm glad to hear it's fixed, or at least that Sims 3 is fixed.  I thought maybe you'd installed from disc and that was the issue: a disc install wouldn't know anything about the EA App and would still look for Origin.  Even if Origin updated the install, some element of the DRM might remain.

When Origin eventually goes offline, you may find that you need to reinstall Sims 3, this time from the EA App.  But I wouldn't do that now—the App has a problem installing packs, and there's no way around that from the user side.  It's just something to keep in mind for the future.  If you do need to reinstall, be sure to clean your computer's registry as well; a tool like Piriform's CCleaner or Revo Uninstaller would do that for you if you didn't want to do it by hand.

@Henisim15  Helo, I have same problem, but, even though I re-downloaded Origin it still doesn't work. Would you have any other advice, please?

@mracnovka  Were you able to connect Origin to the internet? Because before I deleted and reinstalled it, it would always say, that 'online login is unavailable', and it wouldn't work. Than, it magically fixed with the reinstall, so I have no idea what the original problem was. Sorry I couldn't help more.

how did you make origin to work??? i’ve been stuck trying to play the sims 3

@_alexismtorres10  What exact issue are you having?  Please let me know where in the process of trying to open the game you run into trouble, and what you see on-screen.  If you're seeing an error message, please post a screenshot as well.

my sims 3 is working the only issue i am having is all of my expansion packs not downloading at all. did you solve that issue?
