Sims 3 on MacBook Air

Chip Apple M1

Memory 8GB

MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)

I have now installed the Sims 3 and requested the 64-bit version which was granted by customer service. It somewhat works but it lags a lot. Is this normal or does this have something to do with compatibility?

@loetje19  Your laptop should be able to run Sims 3 on ultra graphics settings, or close.  But the 64-bit Mac version does stutter a lot, even on high-end systems.  Is that what you mean by lag, or is it something else?  Are you playing with your laptop on a hard flat surface like a desk or table, or is it sitting on something soft (like a blanket) that could be interfering with its ability to cool itself?  And what world are you playing in at the moment?  If not Sunset Valley, please test there too.
