Sims 3 opening game error?

Currently experiencing an issue with my Sims 3, I use the EA app to open it, and when I go to click play, it loads for around 5 seconds, then says 'failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch. Try again a little later. I've tried it again the next day, and the same issue is happening. I've tried running it as an administrator, uninstalling, repairing and literally everything else. I'm currently running my game on an Acer V15 but having zero luck. Can someone help?

    2013july​  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  If it copies instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.

    Otherwise, when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

    If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
