Sims 3 refuses to launch Windows 11

The Sims 3 launcher comes up, but when I hit play, it goes straight back to origin or EA's launcher. Version: 1.69.43.024017
I just updated it earlier a few minutes ago and it's still doing it. I tried reinstalling, repairing, and even downloading direct x and nothing works. I at first thought it was Onedrive autodeleting my log files, but I uninstalled that. I'm completely vanilla with The Sims 3 so it isn't an issue of modding the game. I'm not wanting to spend another 20-40 dollars to re-get Supernatural and the base game on Steam, but I'm worried I'm just screwed on this one. I've bought The Sims 3 around 2-3 times now because years back it decided to somehow expire so I had to pay for it again. I love the game, but this is a nightmare. This is a fresh new gaming laptop and I don't know what's wrong because everything should run perfectly on it. From what I've seen it might just not like Windows 11 and I don't mind changing back to Windows 10. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    @DamienBlackCross  Does your computer have a 12th-gen Intel processor?  If so, that's the issue: Sims 3 doesn't start correctly on these CPUs.  The workaround is limiting the game to one CPU core as it starts loading.  Please see the accepted solution on page one of this thread:

    I am facing the same problem too. I’ve done everything install and uninstall, run my antivirus, I bought the sims3 downloaded, and origins says it can’t connect to my network. Somebody help me please!

    @Odylable  Does your computer have wifi, and if so, can you use your phone as a mobile hotspot?  (Make sure it's using data, not your home network.)  The point is to see whether Origin can connect with this setup.  If it can, you can put Origin in offline mode and go ahead and play.

    Hi! I'm on a windows 11. I've tried to use the  DXDIAG information and it didnt work. I just bought the sims 3 and a few dlc. Generations and Seasons. It came with High-End Loft stuff and Late-Night packs, when I bought the base game. When I click the sims 3, the launcher comes up. But when I press the play symbol, nothing happens and it sends me to origin, without any reason. I never played the sims 3 before. Do u have any reason as to why this is happening?

    *Version 1.69.43.024017 btw. No DLC/CC and no currency items either

    @Blas227  The purpose of running a dxdiag is so I can read it and look for an explanation for why Sims 3 won't open.  I don't mean problems that the dxdiag flags; I mean error codes and old or missing drivers and a bunch of other details.  So please run one, if you haven't already, and attach it to a post here.  Tag me (with the @ sign) when you do so I see it.
