Sims 3 SAVE FREEZE (pc)

So I have Sims 3 and about 7 expansions.

The game started running slow and freezing when I saved so I installed another 4gb of ram I I have 8gb in total.


The game runs much better but the save freeze is terrible.

I have tried saving every hour, then every half hour, then every 15 minutes. The game just freezes on the save logo. When I re-load I have lost about 3 hours playing every time. I have NO idea how this happens as I save every 15 minutes. This is GAME BREAKING.

I am currently trying some tips on how to speed my game up from other forums but nothing seems to be addressing the "save freeze" problem.

 
It doesnt happen every time but today it has haapened about 5 times and if I dont find a fix I will stop playing Sims/Expansions full stop. The amount of money I have paid to get SIms AND all these expansions AND another 4gb of RAM only for this to happen is a joke.


Any help REALLY would be appreciated.

    We have tried a few different things to no avail.

    * Updated graphics card drivers

    * Updated all other PC drivers

    * Cleared SIms 3 cache 

    After all this tried saving every 2 minutes.......worked once then froze the next time

    If you need any more information just let me know.
    I just want to get it working ☹️

    Ok so that worked occasionly. 

    Once every 2 days the freeze still occured.

    Now its happening every time and when she reloads it goes back at least 10 or sometimes 20 saves ago.

    We will never get a refund for all these games it just seems like such a waste. Its almost a joke EA are creating a new sims game when no.3 is a mess from what I have read.
