Sims 3 Saved Games Gone on Mac

Go to your user files (should be Documents\Electronic Arts\ for macs) and see if the files are still there in the folder saves.

If they are not, try searching your computer for the name of the save files. Maybe they got moved by accident.

If they are, what world are you playing ? Is the world still installed on your computer ?

Got the same problem.
My files are still there, im playing in Sunsetvalley. It's still possible to play in this World when i would start a new game if thats the answer to the other question, so the world is still there.

What should i do to get everything back?
