Sims 3 Seasons Disc Not Found! Into the Future: Disk Authentication Fail Error
Ok I'm not Computer Savy here but I just finally got the sims 3 seasons. I have into the future.
I installed seasons today, played into the future and it said disc authentication error (wtf). I did have to restore my computer very recently due to a virus but didn't lose anything. Anyway, i uninstalled both into the future and seasons - twice and it still says the same thing.
This is a seasons issue because until today, everything worked. When I click seasons, it reads "Disc Not Found, Please Insert Sims 3: Into the Future". Well I do that and I get a disc error.
I originally bought seasons through origins but guess what? damn game doesn't show up in the my games section no matter how many times i refresh the menu. So I bought the physical copy considering the digital was useless (and I'm never using Origin again). Well now they're both useless!
Sims 3 seasons version: 16.0.136
Sims 3 Into the Future: 21.0.150
Sims 3 Base Game (I have other expansion packs, they're all up to date): 1.67.2.02.
Everything is up to date. I tried the deleting caches that have the .documents in them. There are no .documents nor caches to delete. Tried uninstalling, nothing. Tried moving the base game file to the desk top, still nothing. Game can't be played without all the files together under the Electronic Arts Folder.
NOTHING works! Please help!! A simple detailed walkthrough would be great! I'm trying to play seasons and I'm about to shoot myself with this b.s. Thanks! Never encountered this issue before! I even registered the game. Still nothing!!
Never mind. I FINALLY, FINALLY GOT IT! Someone out there is a GOD! Ok that's a bit much, but seriously, it worked!!! Here's the solution:

I call them a god because i was ready to cry you guys, cry!! I didn't try it at first for a few reasons. Reason #1, my game was up to date. #2, the thread was 3 years old and given that everything I had was up to date and it made no sense to download something that I already have, I didn't try it until just a moment ago. If you have winrar (or something similar) and your game is up to date like mine, follow steps 3 and 4.
FINALLY. I wasted several hours with this hoping to play today even though it's not the end of the world. It's just a major head ache when you can't figure it out..
