Sims 3 Seasons will not install on my mac

I just bought the game Sims 3 Seasons and it seems to be having problems installing. I already have the Sims 3 installed on my computer along with other expansion packs. The version of my mac is Mac OS X both my mac and Sims games has the newest updates available. When I try to install The Sims 3 Seasons I get a message saying The SIMS(tm) 3 Seasons Install quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically. I've clicked Reopen and it brings this message up again. Also I tried installing all my games and just reinstalling The Sims 3 and seeing again if it would install it doesn't. I've checked all the requirements on my mac and all are compatable with the game. Please help I love the Sims and will be very upset if I can't play The Sims 3 Seasons. Thanks.
