Sims 3 site ending during sims forums migration

I thought I post it here since it's about the sims 3 exchange and store. People are saying the sims 3 exchange and store site going to be closing when the new ea forums happens. First it's going to be read only then closed. Is any of this true. It would be sad since the store stuff may never exist again and plus the issue re adding it after purchasing your gonna loose save files due to missing items. I hope these rumours are not true. Can anyone from ea confirm this. I have disabilities and get anxiety problems from this kind of stuff. Thanks.

  • @Creeper545548  There has been no announcement about the Store site at all, and no indication it's closing or changing in any way.  The closure is for forums.thesims.com , as in, the Sims forum where people chat about their games.  Here's EA_Cade's post about that:

If and when the Store site is taken down, we should have at least some warning and thus the ability to download our already-owned content.  And given that EA is still selling SimPoints and Store worlds, it seems unlikely that the Store would be closed anytime soon—it would be unfair to sell content that immediately stopped working.

  • @Creeper545548 Just a update I'm not gonna @ ea since I don't really like doing that. Just waiting is all I like to do and patience. Hopefully I will get a response since I like to know what is going on and really like to know from the proper people.

@Creeper545548  I think a lot of people misread at least some part of it, especially if you look at the comments in the thread I linked.  I'm just glad that we're getting a reasonable amount of information in the first place, and with some advance warning too.
