Sims 3 Store content won't download

Just bought Monte Vista for my Sims 3 game and every time I go to download it the launcher keeps asking me to sign when I've already signed into the Sims 3 Launcher so I could download it. I'm at my wit's end and on the verge of going back to my old, slow non-gaming laptop just to play with the content that comes with Monte Vista.

I've tried un-installing and re-installing, emptying the DCCache and DCBackup. I'm in the process of re-installing everything again and now it's all failing. If anyone can help, I would very much appreciate it

@AlpineGaslyFan10  Try using Firefox.  I've been downloading in Windows 10 using Firefox for a while now without any issues, including not needing to sign into the launcher.  And clearing IE's cache is helpful because that's where the launcher stores some of its data.  It doesn't mean you need to use IE to download store content.

  • @AlpineGaslyFan10  Please move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  Open the launcher, but don't bother to sign in.  Intsead, sign into the store site and download Monte Vista from your purchase history or its product page.

If it doesn't work, clear the cache for Internet Explorer.  Even if you never use it, the launcher does for some purposes.  Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorite sites.

If it still doesn't work, change your password to something with only letters and numbers, no special characters, accents, etc.  Clear IE's cache again, and start with another clean folder.

By the way, if you do get Monte Vista installed, it's not too difficult to add your existing data to the new Sims 3 folder.  But let me know whether it would be a burden to have to reinstall all your store content.  There are a couple different approaches you can use.

  • My IE ends up turning into ME because apparently the Sims 3 Store site no longer works on IE for me as I'm on a Windows 10 ASUS gaming laptop and it still doesn't work.

I've even changed my password, I've signed into the Sims 3 Store and it opens the launcher when I go to download it both the product page and my purchase history but even after I've cancelled signing in for the Launcher it keeps popping up another two times
