I just recently redownloaded Sims 3 through the EA App and when I went to launch it first said that my base game was incompatible because it needed to be updated so I deleted the suggested file through Electronic Arts folder.
But now when I launch it gets stuck on a “open tab” looking screen and it won’t load.
Anyone else having this issue? How do I fix this?
@CarolineRamsey27 Try forcing the game to open in windowed mode. You can do so by going into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3, opening Options.ini, searching for fullscreen , and setting it to 0 (zero).
If that doesn't help, please move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and try again to play.
If that doesn't help either, please list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the OS and except for the serial number.
