Sims 3: Supernatural appearing downloaded in EA app, but not showing up in game.

As the title says. From reading previous forum posts, I assume that because my dad bought the game for me as a key when I was younger, that the expansion was probably invalid for one reason or another.

Obviously, I would like for the expansion to be fully removed from my EA App account so that I can repurchase it again now as an adult.

I have put in a ticket to EA Customer Support (for a second time as my first one said 'resolved' when it was in fact not), but I was wondering if there's any quicker solution to this problem via here or whether the waiting game is in fact the only answer.
