Sims 3 Supernatural CD key is 'file copy'

Bought a copy of sims 3 supernatural today, went to install it and it didnt come with a cd key, instead, it had FILE COPY printed where the cd key should be. Is there a way of finding the cd key unique to the disc or is there a way of getting this fixed?
