Sims 3 Supernatural Not registered?

Question

I recently bought Sims 3 Supernatural from Origin. It works, I can play it fine, and its not lagging. However, when I go on the Sims 3 Exchange and try to download something, it tells me to register my game. I've tried manually putting the code in that Origin gives you, but it's "already registered". Is there anything I can do about it? I have Sims 3 and Sims 3 Late Night on my computer, but I don't have them registered since I got them from a friend. Is it because of that or did I miss a step or what?
