There’s no speculation. It is already happening behind closed doors and fixing Sims 3 issues seems to be the last thing on their mind. With EA being bought out, it’s easy to assume the franchise’s future, especially for older games, is uncertain. They haven’t addressed the buyout, likely to avoid upsetting people. The sudden push to fix The Sims 4 feels like a direct response to community frustration. From a business perspective, it makes sense to stop investing in fixes or updates for The Sims 3, The Sims 2, or even the original Sims, since The Sims 4 brings in the most revenue. But as a longtime player, I don’t see things improving, and eventually, they’ll pull the plug just don't when. Honestly, their revisit to Sims 1 and 2 earlier this year completely caught me off guard.

Happy Thanksgiving.
The classic Sims 4 advertisement is back with the slogan "Play with Life," promoting a deal on Sim Points. Their socials, which used to be all blue, have fix, but I still can’t sign in. won’t process.

Apparently staff aren't having issues with the site. They recommended trying incognito mode, which I did, and still have issues.

The issues with the TS3 website and game launcher problems have been ongoing for 19 days now. And will likely keep on being a problem for another 3 weeks and more.
I can still launch the game and play a game save with all my previously downloaded content without problems.
I have a single TS3 store bought item I didn't bother downloading before the outages happened. It was something that went on sale and because I had a large part of the content already owned it ended up as no cost to me. So whether I can ever get it downloaded and installed in my game I honestly don't care. My game saves have more than enough CC to play with.

I just wanted to say I've seen people say what you said but they said it came from the AI suggestion and not real staff. The team are working on the site since they fixed some of the issues so far and are continuing their investigation. I know the holidays have been going on for some and I'm sure the team working on it isn't big and could be a while. This stuff has happened in the past and does get fixed eventually. All we can do is wait. But team are working on it since the managers mention this and still care about us. Edited since I had to fix the stupid auto corrects.

I can understand your opinion, things do look pretty bleak, but I’m curious what your sources are for TS3 being shut down behind closed doors? Because unless you have confirmation of that, it is speculation, albeit well-informed on the company. This seems no different from every other time TS3 store and such has gone down. It’s one of the longer outages, and obviously the company is in a different place amidst the buyout, but I’m doubtful this is what sunsetting TS3 looks like. I could be wrong, though. It surely does cost them to keep a legacy website like TS3 store running and compatible with EA’s modern services.
Here’s to hoping TS3 will continue, if only for a little while longer. Happy Thanksgiving!

I actually messaged one of the staff members and asked what was going on. He said he wasn't having issues and asked me to try in incognito mode. I tried that and it didn't work. I told him there was a whole thread about it, and he said he would forward to the right people.

That's alright then. Lucky the team are working on it so all we can do is wait. The sims 3 site will hopefully be working for everyone again in due time :D

Hi so some parts of the sims 3 store I am able to access but a lot of the store is completely inaccessible to me. I was just talking with ea support bc i had bought a world and roaring heights on the ea app and they kept telling me to go to my account and purchase history but I constantly get this message saying the site is down (see screenshot). I have had this issue for years where most of the sims 3 store site is just unnaccessible but I thought everyone had that issue. I assume if ea is telling me to go on to those pages that it isnt for everyone though as thats where you have to go to redeem world codes. The redeem a code also showed the site as down for me for some reason too. Is this a me only problem or a universal problem?
