Sims 3 will not install on PS3!

I insert the disk it says it needs to update. It finishes the update then says that there is a game data that needs to be installed for docs and updates I push ok and it loads me to the installing screen. It gets stuck at 2% on the first bar and 12% on the second bar and then it stops for about 2 minutes. All of a sudden both bars jump to 100% and it stayed on the installing screen forever. I've tried many times doing the same thing. I've tried deleting the game data utility. I've made sure my PS3 system is updated and that I have an Internet connection. I'm not sure what the problem is. Please someone help!!!!!!
