Sims 3 won't install in Origin

Done this and it worked. A few days later I turned my computer on to play and it's not working again. Just goes to install (but doesn't) and recognises it's installed but tries to install it again. I've unistalled it and done all these steps again and the setup isn't in The Sims 3 folder. Any ideas? EA need to get their **bleep** together, it should not be this difficult to play a game.

My origin games folder says empty, ive purchased the sims 3 seasons on origin but theres nothing there.

Ive tried every suggestion but NOTHING is helping, AND that means ive lost $20 how do i just get a refund?!

When installing sims 3 seasons doesn't turn up in origin its there its just not in your origin games. If you click on your sims 3 base game (if its there) it will take you to the launcher and you can start your game. Plus you could look at the bottom of your launcher to see which expansions you've installed.

I followed the above instructions exactly, however, when i try to lauch the game how you said it still wont run, it tells me to re-install the base game.

(sigh) I love the Sims, but this is getting annoying....

Sorry guys. I am trying to install manually as well but on the Install wizard, the program closes after the user agreement. Any suggestions???

Found it.

For windows 7 users, the installer insists on running in vista compatibility mode. Just Change that and your are good to go.

Zinon, you're a saint. It took me forever to find a solution, and yours finally work. Darn it Vista, stop screwing things up for me. 

I didn't have to go through all that in the Solution, I just Ran as Administrator (Origin) clicked the top tab Origin > Reload my Games and then it automatically started up finally.

- Right click on Sims3Setup.exe and Run As Administrator

- Go through it until you get to Regular/Custom install

I tried this but when I open the file there is none in _Installer named Sims3setup.exe
