I recently bought the Sims 3 Starter pack through Origin, i downloaded and installed all of the games which came with it then i played it for a bit and i encountered no problems. I later bought the 'University Life' expansion pack then it came up that i needed to update, so I continued with the update, the update progress bar went about 1/32nd of the way then dissapeared, giving me the option to launch the game by the big 'Play' button. i pressed it then nothing happened, i force quit Origin, reopened it then opened the Sims 3 launcher again, i pressed the play button again, the start of the Sims started up for about 2-3 seconds then quit, and thats what has been happening everytime i try to start it. Something strange i notice is when I press the 'Play' button for the Sims 3 on Origin, Sims 3 University Life appears on the dock, occasionaly when the Sims 3 starts for 2-3 seconds then closes i get a message saying 'The game process couldn't start' something along the lines of that but this message is pretty rare compared to the amount of time i have tried to get it working. I've also tried turning my Wi-Fi off when i'm starting the Sims but it hasn't worked.
