@thatsjustjake Please repair the game: open your EA App game library, click Sims 3, and select Manage > Repair.
If you have a 12th-gen or newer Intel processor and tried the Alder Lake patch, try the Task Manager method instead. Information on this issue is in the accepted solution of this thread:
The Task Manager method is the most inconvenient workaround but also the most reliable; the patch sometimes causes this nameless .dll error and other issues.
