Sims 3 won't play

I downloaded the patch, after downloading the patch
I got Sims 3 University Life to install..but now I can't even play it. I open the Sims 3 launcher, but after pressing play it won't play at all. Please help!
Many people with your cpu have the same issue: They can play the base game but not any expansions.
The minimum requirements need at least a 2.4 ghz CPU or equivalent. You only have a AMD 1.0 ghz which is not an equivalent.
I would try to get a refund for your expansion pack through a game advisorGame advisors can be found through live chat.
