Today, I tried to install the Sims 3 World Creator and got the following error: "Can't find Sims 3 data". Even though the game is clearly on the computer, as I have all the expansions and have been playing it recently.
Has anyone else gotten this error? If so, what did you do to fix it? Can someone please help?!?
the only thing i know about CAW is it must always be at the same patch level as your game so for example if your still at 1.55 patch CAW will be at 1.63 so the game needs to be at 1.63 patch then CAW needs to be installed again

I have a very similar issue. When I attempt to install it prompts that Sims 3 need to be installed piror to Create A World - I have my Steam Library open on the second screen with Sims 3 clearly installed and it just keeps prompting...
So essentially the same issue - it cannot seem to identify the Sims 3 installation :/
