Sims cannot access appliances (says they are blocking themselves)

I've had SOOOOOO many issues with this game it's not even funny, so it goes without saying that I have tried LITERALLY every solution for every problem I have ever had.

I've completely uninstalled all of my sims games and deleted absolutely everything related to sims3 from every folder and drive on my PC. I'ev done this many, many, many times.

Let me note that I the problems I'm having currently I didnt used to have a year or back. So this is all recent.

I can no longer play my Pets expansion. It does not work, it'll work for 5 minutes then randomly crash so I've stopped downlaoding it. (BTW all of my games are downloaded from origin)

SO that leaves Ambitions, Generations, Supernatural, World Adventures, and Late Night. I haven't had any issues with these expansions.

I do have a TON of custom content but have never had issues with any of it.

After I downloaded all of my games a few days ago everything was working perfectly until yesterday. My sims can no longer access their appliances. They can't cook with my japanese grill, any stove, any microwave, not even my deep fryer. There's some bad left overs in the fridge but they can't get to it to clean it out. Each time I tell them to access any of these items they stand still for a bit then complain they can't get to it by showing the thought bubble with the steps and x's and then showing themselves. So basically they're saying that they are blocking themselves from the appliance. I can't find a solution or even an explanation for this nor why it suddenly happens out of the blue even though the game was working perfectly the day before. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
