sims family stuck in the future

When I logged into the game this afternoon, I followed the town reset method and successfully returned home. However, I got stuck on the screen where you enter a household. I confirmed that my household remains at its original location. The issue is the same old problem mentioned earlier. I can select any household, but after I click “Select,” the button just turns grey and nothing happens afterward—there are no further steps. This happens no matter which household I try to play. Even when I start a new world, I face the same problem right at the beginning.

Because I can’t enter any household, I exited the game without saving. I just try to follow the same method again to send the household back to the original town from the future, but the game crash when the loading bar reached about halfway again.
