I am having the exact same problem. Resetsim does unstick them, but they get stuck as soon as you try to give them the sleep action or shower/bath, I had one also stuck near the diving board. I DO NOT have night life, but I do have seasons and pets (and all the other xp and a few of the sp). I do have some custom content and no mods. I have tried playing with no custom content but there is no change. I did try relax action on the bed and they can do that, and then I hit sleep again and then they can sleep. No idea for shower or bath yet. I have had the invisible thing happen but not this last time, and it usually started with the sim going...low detail first. I also can't save, it just saves forever and never changes. I have to do ctrl alt delete. And I get no error codes.
I have had these issues before and I have moved my sim to a new town. I find that solves a lot of problems I have but I have moved my sims to a new town now about half a dozen times. Its getting old. It doesn't last long either, maybe thru three sim weeks.
I check my currentgame folder and look for .bad saved games. I almost ALWAYS have content in the current game folder.
I see one agent has tried to help but have not seen any real action or help on this.
Please, I have not been able to play and save a game for days.
I do have all the lastest patches, I have windows xp and although I dont know all my specs by heart, I have been helped by ea before and been told my system is fine.
yea i had that same problem as you, shower bed pool even getting in a car would ruin the game. i called EA and they told me that seasons uses alot of CPU, they were sure my computer being sh*t was the problem how ever i told them i had a gaming computer (alienware m14x) then they shut up after i told them my specs. i reinstalled several times and still had the problem, I uninstalled made sure all my drivers not just graphics drivers but my hardware like BIOS and chipsets drivers were up date from the dell website and patched all the games not including seasons played for a little bit it ran fine, i reinstalled seasons and it is now running fine, to be honest i have no clue what the problem was but it runs fine now, maybe check there make sure all your system driver are up to date (generic answer i know) but it did work for me, hopefully that helps
