"sitting in car" glitch
My sims are getting stuck in their vehicles when they go to and from lots. I have them walk or jog to get anywhere. My child sim will be "sitting on bike" for hours or stuck on the bus. There is a sloppy jalope just sitting on the street at my house. This is after I moved them to a new lot because had problems with the mailbox not receiving cut gems, sending gift boxes and bills that couldnt be deleted, and reseting the sim who checked the mail. I have the Seasons expansion but only recently experienced the stuck in vehicle glitch.
Have you tried resetting the sims?
- Open the cheat box - shift ctrl c
- Type in resetSim (sim firstname) (sim surname) or type in resetSim * (Which will reset practically everyone)
- Hit enter
To delete the car - perhaps try using "testingcheatsenabled true" (without quotation marks)
- Open the cheat box (see above for directions)
- Type in testingcheatsenabled true (to turn off please repeat process and type in false instead of true)
- Hit enter - now hold shift and click on the vehicle - choose object; delete

I also try if my sims are taking forever is to minimize the game and then go back in - never fails me.
