[SOLVED] Pack Download button doesn't work

This is a collection thread for players who can't download their Sims 3 packs because clicking the Download button does nothing.  If you're affected, please click Me Too on this post.

Please also list your operating system and the pack(s) that won't install.  If you have any packs that DO install, please list those too.

At the moment, there is no reliable workaround.  You can try these two approaches, which have worked for a few people:

Spoiler

Disable the Origin technical preview: hover over your username, select Application Settings, and under the Application header, scroll down to Client update and disable option to "participate in technical previews."  Quit Origin, run the reset tool:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

Open Origin again, and repair the game: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.  Then try to download your packs.

🏈  Open Origin's Application Settings > Application page, and under Client update, enable auto game updates.  Then quit Origin and open it again, and see whether the packs start downloading automatically.

If this doesn't help, or the setting is already enabled, please run the Origin reset tool for macOS:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

Launch Origin, and when asked, uncheck the box for automatic Origin and game updates.  Repair the game: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.  Then enable auto game updates again, quit and reload, and see whether the packs start downloading automatically.
