I am now experiencing this, too. I followed the previous steps posted to try to resolve it. It's frustrating to reinstall all the purchashed content and worlds I have accumulated over the years. I was getting the little cardboard boxes along with the failed to install. Was there a recent app update that may have caused this? My game had been working fine for at least the past year. This needs to be addressed. I can see where this has been a long-term issue after researching it. I've had about enough of EA, honestly. I quit playing sims 4, because of all the bugs.
