It's strange because for months I was playing logged in with no issues, and now I can't log in at all.
I've just resorted to playing offline ☹️
@Syannaxx Have you tried changing your password? The launcher periodically starts rejecting passwords with special characters (for example & or !), and sometimes it rejects a password for no apparent reason. It can also help to clear Safari's browser cache.
If that doesn't help, try deleting the file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads labeled [your email].bin, and clearing Safari's cache again.

Sorry I didn't reply to you months ago.
It wasn't working this whole time up until last week.
I'd tried what you suggested. The only thing that got it working was connecting with a different WiFi network.

@Syannaxx Thanks for letting me know, and yes, it sometimes seems like that's the only fix. You can try powercycling your router, which might help if the router is the problem but won't if the issue is with your ISP.

I have the same problem and even created a different Sims 3 account and tried to log in to no avail. I even reinstalled the game, countlessly restarted my computer, repaired the game, and deleted my save files, which didn't work either. The only thing that helped was playing offline which is fine with me because I rarely use the Sims 3 store so unless you do, I recommend just playing offline. But kudos to you @puzzlezaddict because the Maxis response wasn't as thorough or helpful as this thread.
