Stuck on 'Processing' when Trying to Move Sims

I've recently re-downloaded the Sims 3 and have ran into this annoying issue. I tried to move my sims into a new house. Although I am able to choose a house and confirm my new family, it then gets stuck on 'Processing...' forever and im not sure how to fix it. All of the solutions ive seen were for PC so i need help ☹️.

Also to be noted, I do not think I installed any "modes"

Thanks in advance!

  • @madi123757  Please start by deleting the five cache files in your Sims 3 user data folder in Documents\Electronic Arts.  For reference, they are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

In the same location, open the CurrentGame folder and delete anything you find.  That folder should always be empty unless the game is running.

The initial Create a Household requires a lot of memory and other resources, not all of which gets released when you exit CAH and want to place your new family.  So it's possible the game was out of resources when you tried to place the sims in their new house.

However, after leaving CAH, your household should have been saved to the in-game bin.  So please start a new save in the world of your choice, pick the "move in household" option, select the family you previously created, and place them in whichever house you want.  If it still hangs on "processing," start over, but try placing the sims in a differnt house.  Let me know how it goes.
