Supernatural Freeze

I know someone asked before, but I need help with my Supernatural game freezing. I installed it fine, started playing it fine, then saved it to go to work at 3pm. I started playing it again about 10:30pm, finished my house and started playing. And my game would start freezing. Not completely freezing, mind you. My sims would freeze, but the plumbob, bees, trees, water, fairy wings, music, etc would keep going. After about 30 - 120 seconds they would starting moving again, then freeze less than 3 minutes later. I read some reasons why this can happen (cheats, installing items, etc) and the only thing I can think of is that I used the motherlode cheat (once!) just after restarting my game to finish my house. I first thought it was just my computer being a bit slow and laggy cause it had been on all day, but I tried a couple of hours ago and the same thing happened! I've tried turning the game off then back on again, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, reseting all the sims in my house but nothing has worked!! Please help, I need my Sims!!!!
