The sims 3 bin

Hi! I have issues with The Sims 3 Edit Town. You see, I have this family I’ve been playing with for a long time. I started with an elderly couple and their daughter and she married and had 3 kids. The save has been acting funny lately so I decided to save them to the bin in edit town and move them to Riverview. So, I go to edit town, save the household with the lot, and the processing thing pops up. It takes about 3 minutes for the game to process and out of the blue the game crashes. Every time I try, it crashes. I’m very frustrated because I don’t want to quit playing with them but this save is unbearable to play with and I want to move them but the game won’t let me do it. Someone please help me! Thanks.

  • @MirandaJonesDiz  Try evicting the sims and saving them, and the lot, separately.  It's a good idea to delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 user data folder in Documents\Electronic Arts before you try, and any time the game crashes.  For reference, those files are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

Please also go into the CurrentGame folder inside that same Sims 3 folder, and delete anything you find in there.  That folder should always be empty unless you actually have a save loaded and running.  But it doesn't always get emptied after a crash.
