You need to manually uninstall everything related to Sims 3.

did you uninstall then reninstall a sims 3 game or origin ?
I will say a story:
I wanted to install The Sims with my cracked CD, and when i installed, game didn't work, so i needed to uninstall it. When i was uninstalling the game, it said the error, so then and today i can't uninstall the game completely. In Control Panel, and in "Uninstall Programs", there exists "The Sims 3, but without an icon. As i can see in computer files, there doesn't exist any The Sims 3 file, but when i try to uninstall this "Ghost Sims", there happens an -5006: 0x80070056 error. So i thinked it's an CD error, so i bought The Sims 3 on Origin. I was happy, but when there was installing time, the -5006: 0x80070056 error happened.
Is it possible to help?

Well hello,
So...i have kind of the same problem only mine says: Error (-5006 0x80070005) when I try to install sims 3 levensweg/generations.
Although i truly tried all of the things down below/up above...I just re-installed every game but the generations one...without any problem.
So I thought...it would have been the disc itself.
Now I bought it new, and just tried to install it again...and i still get the same error.
So i don't understand why I can install every game...but the generations one (without any problems).
So, can you tell me what to do next?
