    @nessatay2223 (and everyone else in this thread)  I've flagged this issue to EA but don't know of anything else to suggest at the moment.  It's clearly not universal, which probably makes the issue more difficult to resolve.  Hopefully there will be some news soon.

@RebeccaCritchley  Please create a new admin account on your Mac, repair Sims 3 while signed into that account, and try downloading content there.

      @RebeccaCritchley  Please create an EA App error report, as described here:

      https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/

      and post the report ID in this thread.  There were a few reports of this problem a month or two ago, and EA asked for error reports, but I haven't heard anything since then.  Once you post the report ID, I'll merge your posts into the master thread and bump it.

        I got a new windows laptop, downloaded my steam account and it plays sims 3 just fine. It also downloads and installs everything from the sims 3 store without an issue.

        The problem is something to do with MacBooks.
