The Sims 3 is very, very very dark — pitch black at night!

Hello,The Sims 3 is extremely dark at night. I do not experience this darkness with The Sims 4.It is easy to see — and beautiful! — during the daylight in The Sims 3, but at night, where there isn't light, it is pitch black. Is this a graphics card issue? or is this just how The Sims 3 is? Are there mods to "up the brightness?"I have tested this issue with my Lighting/Shadow settings on high, low, and medium. @sketchur&nbsp; No, that's not normal, or at least it's not what I see when I play.&nbsp; Are you playing on a laptop, and if so, do you have it plugged in while you play?&nbsp; Have you set power while on battery to "performance"?&nbsp; Right-click on the battery icon in the lower right corner of your screen to see the option.

This could also be a monitor calibration issue though, whether you have a laptop or not.&nbsp; Or it could be something else.&nbsp; Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post, so I can see what hardware you have as well as look for any obvious errors.
